Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking or attending an Enchanted Moon Circles event. By making a booking or attending an event, you agree to abide by these terms.
These Terms & Conditions apply to activities and events organised directly by Enchanted Moon Circles, including:
Arts & Crafts Circles
Day Trips and visits
Seasonal Celebrations and other community events
Enchanted Moon Academy online courses and the Ordination Pathway are provided under separate terms and conditions. Please refer to the terms on the relevant Academy/Ordination website before enrolling.
Unless otherwise stated on the individual event page, Enchanted Moon Circles events are for adults aged 18 and over.
Where an event has different age requirements, these will be clearly stated in the event information and booking conditions.
Where advance booking is required, each person attending must have their own booking.
Only people named on a booking are entitled to attend. Please do not bring additional guests or participants unless this has been agreed with us in advance.
Places may be limited, and bookings are normally offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
We reserve the right to refuse admission where an attendee does not meet the requirements stated for the particular event.
Our Arts & Crafts Circles are paid events, with the price stated on the individual event page and booking information.
Payments for Arts & Crafts Circle places are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to contact us as soon as possible. We may, at our discretion, allow your place to be transferred to another person, provided that:
the replacement attendee meets the age and other requirements for the event;
we are informed in advance; and
the transfer is agreed by us before the event.
We cannot guarantee that a replacement will be possible.
If an Arts & Crafts Circle is cancelled by us, we will contact booked participants and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include transferring the booking to another date or providing a refund, as applicable.
Many of our day trips and visits are provided without a set admission charge. Where this is the case, we may ask participants for a voluntary donation towards the costs associated with organising the trip, such as fuel or other reasonable expenses.
Any suggested donation will be explained when you book.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, donations are voluntary and are not a payment for admission.
Participants are responsible for their own personal expenses, including food, refreshments, entrance fees and other costs not specifically included in the event information.
Details of any charges, donations, booking requirements and age restrictions will be provided on the individual event page.
Where an event is offered free of charge, we may invite voluntary donations to help us meet the costs of organising and running our community activities.
If you are unable to attend an event for which you have booked, please let us know as soon as possible.
For free events and events where places are offered without charge, early notice of cancellation is particularly appreciated as it allows us to offer the place to someone else.
For paid Arts & Crafts Circles, please refer to the Arts & Crafts Circles section above regarding our non-refundable booking policy.
If you repeatedly book places and fail to attend without notifying us, we reserve the right to decline future bookings.
Everyone attending our events is expected to:
behave in a reasonable and responsible manner;
treat organisers, volunteers and other participants with respect;
respect the venue, its facilities and property;
follow reasonable instructions given by the organisers or venue staff;
use equipment and materials safely and responsibly.
We are committed to providing a friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment. Discriminatory, abusive, threatening or intimidating behaviour will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave an event where their behaviour or conduct is considered inappropriate, unsafe or disruptive.
Circumstances that may result in exclusion include, without limitation:
being intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs;
abusive, threatening or aggressive behaviour;
discriminatory or hateful behaviour;
dangerous or reckless behaviour;
deliberate damage to property;
behaviour that places other participants, organisers or venue staff at risk.
Anyone removed from an event because of their behaviour will not normally be entitled to a refund.
We may also seek reimbursement for reasonable costs resulting from deliberate damage to property or other inappropriate conduct.
Participants must not attend our events while intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances.
Where alcohol is permitted at a particular event or venue, participants are expected to drink responsibly and comply with any venue requirements.
Unless otherwise stated, photography, video recording and audio recording of the event or other participants is not permitted without the prior permission of the organisers.
From time to time, we may take photographs for promotional purposes. We will make this clear before doing so and will respect anyone who does not wish to appear in photographs.
Participants should not photograph or record other attendees without their permission.
Please keep mobile phones and other devices on silent during our events.
We ask that participants avoid unnecessary calls, messaging or other activities that may distract from the event or disturb others.
Where you need to make or receive an urgent or emergency call, please step outside the activity area where possible.
Arts & Crafts Circles may involve the use of materials and equipment such as glass, scissors, adhesives, paints, tools and other craft supplies.
Participants are expected to:
follow safety instructions;
use equipment only for its intended purpose;
take reasonable care of themselves and others;
immediately report accidents, breakages, spills or other hazards to an organiser.
Specific safety information will be provided where appropriate for individual activities.
Participants should inform us in advance of any allergies, accessibility requirements or other circumstances that may affect their ability to safely participate.
We take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment and carry appropriate public liability insurance for our activities.
Participants must follow the safety procedures of the venue and any reasonable instructions given by organisers or venue staff.
In an emergency, participants must follow instructions from the organisers, venue staff and emergency services.
Participants are responsible for informing us of any relevant medical or accessibility requirements that we need to be aware of in order to reasonably support their participation.
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings.
We cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal property brought to our events, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuables with you.
Any original written materials, instructions, handouts, designs or other materials provided by Enchanted Moon Circles remain the intellectual property of their respective creators unless otherwise stated.
Materials provided for personal use may not be reproduced, commercially distributed, republished or used to create materials for sale without prior permission from the copyright holder.
This does not prevent participants from sharing photographs of their own completed craft projects for personal or social media use, provided that other participants and copyrighted materials are not photographed or reproduced without permission.
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to an event where necessary, including changes to the activity, materials, timetable or venue arrangements.
If circumstances outside our reasonable control require an event to be postponed, cancelled or significantly changed, we will communicate with affected participants as soon as reasonably possible.
We want everyone attending our events to have a positive experience.
If you have a concern or complaint about an event, please speak to an organiser as soon as reasonably possible. This gives us the opportunity to investigate the matter and, where appropriate, resolve it promptly.
If the matter cannot be resolved at the event, please submit your complaint to us in writing within 28 days of the event, providing as much relevant information as possible.
We will consider complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We take reasonable care in planning and running our events and maintain appropriate insurance for our activities.
Participants attend and take part in activities at their own risk and are expected to follow safety instructions and take reasonable care of themselves and others.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that the law does not permit us to exclude.
Subject to the above, we are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings brought to an event.
By booking or attending an Enchanted Moon Circles event, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them.
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version applicable to your booking will be the version in force at the time you make your booking.
